About

me in sfAfter working  in supervisory and administrative roles, I returned to college to follow my passion for design. I was inducted into the honor society Phi Kappa Phi, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts, emphasis in Graphic Design from SDSU. Realizing the ever changing trends in design and the web, I took time off of work for some professional development and attended Platt College where I received a diploma in Web Development.

I have worked as an in-house designer for automotive CRM innovator Newgen, pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, advertising and marketing firm AdEase, internet marketer Einstein Industries and currently at Triad Digital Media where I work as Walmart.com's Senior Web Designer. I have been responsible for producing a wide range of print and collateral material, corporate identity, trade show graphics, but primarily web design and development.

My past experiences include in-house, corporate, studio and freelance work, pre-press, production manager, graphic and web design, as well as starting a personal business. Not only do I have a degree in Graphic Design, but also a diploma in Web Development so I can look at projects from both sides of the equation and follow through with clean, engaging, and functional websites with standards-compliant XHTML/CSS coding. I have experience in Javascript, jQuery, Flash, PHP and MySQL as well as WordPress.

The love of travel and other cultures has led me across the globe. Past adventures include snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, bunji jumping the Victoria Falls bridge in Zimbabwe, safaris through Zambia and South Africa, followed up by adventures throughout Egypt, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, and the Yucatan of Mexico. A recent trip to China included exploring the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City in Beijing, as well as Xian and Shanghai. Experiencing these cultures has influenced and continues to inspire my work as a designer.
