Avatar Script Sound Familiar?
A friend of mine sent this to me and I found it alarmingly strange that a behemoth such as Disney is not pressing any charges. I have heard of stealing, but this is amazingly blatant plagiarism if indeed it is true. Not knowing what the IMHO meant in the signature "IMHO Matt Bateman" I Goggled and found it to mean In My Humble Opinion.

Avatar and James Cameron Rule the World
After only 17 days in release, Avatar from director James Cameron and 20th Century Fox, will have revenues for domestic at $352.1 million. And with an international total of $670.2 million. Its worldwide box office figure should be $1.02 billion coming out of this weekend.
And the film already is the second highest grossing film released in 2009. Hollywood.com says the IMAX showings were off the chart with a global total of $66.4 million - the highest ever for an initial IMAX release.
He will hold the title for the top two highest grossing films of all time. Mind you this one cost quite a bit more, but 2 films grossing over a billion dollars is amazing on any level, especially as Avatar has only been in release for 17 days!
I recently spent an hour and a half waiting in line for the IMAX version and personally wasn't impressed. We went the first week of screenings and saw it in 3D and was blown away. Both my partner and I didn't feel much was different visually at the IMAX release today.
Steven Seagal’s “Lawman” scores big ratings!
Dave and I love watching the crazy, senseless violence of a Steven Seagal movie. For some odd reason it relaxes me! He is an aikido master and as time has moved on apparently so has Steven - to other careers. I remember when he first came on the, back in the days of Chuck Norris and Jean Claude Van Damme, rumors swirled of his past affiliation with the CIA and other such shady shenanigans. and a feature article in Vanity Fair raised even more of his questionable background and friends. The past couple of years has seen his career decline to lesser known roles and theaters in very bad, D-List production movies. But he is still working and he is still getting paid. Regardless if they go straight to video!
One of those "laughing all the way to the bank" stories I guess.
So I thought I would insert a clip here of one of our favorite movies, an early one: "Above the Law"
Well now he is on another venture, something he has been dong now for several years... and now it comes to television. Steven Segal Lawman premiered on A&E Wednesday night and brought in a record breaking 3.5 million viewers, making it the network's most-watched original series premiere. Go figure!

The Transformers star seems to be totally disenchanted with the movie business, at least in the new interview Shia gave to Parade magazine.
"The good actors are all screwed up. They’re all in pain. It’s a profession of bottom-feeders and heartbroken people," LaBeouf laments to the mag.
And what about those pesky famewhores that make up 99% of Hollywood??
"Actors live dependent on being validated by other people’s opinions," Shia states.
He continues, wondering why people even idolize him for his 'talents': "I don’t understand what it is I do that people want. I don’t know what an actor does. I have no credentials. I don’t know what I’m doing. To my mind, talent doesn’t really exist. Talent is like a card player’s luck. It is motivation, ambition, and luck. It’s just a drive to be the best. I think acting is a con game."
Someone's self-esteem is all out of whack as well as his confidence!
"I don’t handle fame well. Most actors on most days don’t think they’re worthy. I have no idea where this insecurity comes from, but it’s a God-sized hole. If I knew, I’d fill it, and I’d be on my way," finished Shia.

Mel Gibson's wife of 28 years has filed for divorce, setting the stage for one of the most expensive marriage break-ups in legal history. Under Californian law, Robyn Gibson could take half of her husband's $640 million fortune. She lodged papers in Los Angeles Superior Court weeks after Gibson was pictured frolicking on a beach in Costa Rica with an unidentified brunette.
The Oscar-winning actor, 53, is said to have become close to a Russian brunette on the set of his most recent film, but denies he has had an affair with the woman, a musician known simply as Oksana.
The court papers filed by 52-year-old Mrs Gibson cited the good old 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split.
She also listed the separation date as 'to be determined', while Gibson named August 26 2006 - a month after his controversial drunk driving arrest - as the date in his divorce petition. Remember when he called that Malibu police officer "Sugar tits" and claimed he owned Malibu!
A breakdown of some of Mel's assets: he commands $17 million a picture and for a $25 million personal investment in the Passion of the Christ, Mel banked an estimated total of $392,921,482 alone. He is an avid real estate investor, with properties in Malibu, Australia, Fiji and Costa Rica.
