I remember not all that long ago traveling in Florida with Dave and going over some of these, what I thought were, insanely tall bridges. Mind you they were tall and the ongoing view was distorted as I remember, which made me scared and frankly a little dizzy. Well here is a new one for the world to look at, I just don't know if I'd be able to travel on it. Maybe if I were there, hell I bungee jumped Victoria Falls Bridge because I never thought I'd be there again... I guess never say never, right?

The Millau Viaduct is part of the new E11 expressway connecting Paris and Barcelona  and features the highest bridge piers ever constructed. The tallest  is 240 metres (787 feet) high and the overall height is an impressive 336 metres (1102 feet), making this the highest bridge in the world. It's taller than the Eiffel Tower .

Interestingly, the Millau Viaduct is not straight. Why? It's because a straight road could induce a floating sensation as you drive across it.  So, a slight curve remedies that feeling. The curve is 20km in range. Moreover, the road has a slight incline of 3% to improve the visibility & reassure the driver.

It just amazes me how quickly after a fresh cut, some water and time the green stick evolves into natures wonder. This is a four photo montage detailing the changes from bud to bloom in an 8 hour time span.

After getting out into the beautiful weekend weather, we went for a stroll and a few laughs at one of our favorite people watching sites. OK, I'm new to this blogging thing and as I am a web designer I thought I should get into this stuff, right?

I wanted to start my own blog to just voice thoughts, concerns and ideas. Not only in design, developing, blogs, music, pop culture, religion and politics, but anything that touches our lives - good and bad.

So I am reading my trusty Rockstar - WordPress I got online and feel confident I will progress in my endeavors here.
