What more can I say...

So this is the latest entertainment shenanigans going on over there at the Vatican?

The usually stoic weekly Papal audience was treated to a rush of adrenaline when a troupe of really hot male acrobats stripped off their shirts for an impromptu performance at the Vatican. Strange, who invited them as this was not that long or really impressive. Just really more of a tease.

Dressed in white, the group of four walked across the stage toward Pope Benedict’s throne and surprised the audience by pulling off their shirts before hoisting each other into the air for some titillating balancing.

Clearly, the Pope loved it, he even got out of his chair at the end, although it looked like he wanted their shirts given back as to quiet the nuns. Did you check out those nuns going wild at the end? Too funny!

Came across this and thought I'd share his valid point:

As a nation that was founded by men and women who were being persecuted for their particular faith, we should know that the best path to finding freedom is finding freedom for others. We were formed as a pluralistic society and this means we welcome all religions. Islam did not attack the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, sick and twisted men did, who not only hijacked four airplanes but also hijacked a religion. Let us not stereotype the over one billion Muslims around the world because of the evil acts of a few.

Cairo's embassy in Nigeria said on Thursday a 13-year-old girl at the centre of claims that a Nigerian senator had taken the minor as his fourth wife is still at school in Egypt. The senator, Ahmed Sani Yerima, 49, meanwhile denied in an interview with the BBC that the girl was 13 and said that as a Muslim he had not broken any law by marrying the teenager claiming Sharia law allows this.

"The girl is still in school in Egypt and nobody has complained to the embassy in respect of the girl," Egyptian embassy spokesman Mohammed Saber told AFP.
He said however that the embassy "will follow the issue" because it is illegal in Egypt to marry an underage girl. The Nigerian senate on Wednesday ordered an inquiry after claims by rights groups that Yerima had paid a dowry of $US100,000 to marry the girl.

Women's groups protested outside parliament on Tuesday to urge the senate to investigate the claims.

In a telephone interview from Egypt with the BBC's Hausa service on Thursday, Yerima defended himself. "I don't care about the issue of age since I have not violated any rule as far as Islam is concerned," he said, describing those complaining as "detractors". "History tells us that Prophet Mohammed did marry a young girl as well. Therefore I have not contravened any law. Even if she is 13, as it is being falsely peddled around."

Those sure don't look like "Abs of Steel"? Looks more like a peen! Some parishioners at a Catholic church in Oklahoma are a bit pissed off by a 10 foot tall crucifix showing Jesus Christ with abs resembling a man's private parts.

The parish Rev. Philip Seeton said:

"There are a couple people who have left the parish. There are people in the parish who don’t like it and have stayed. I’ve had people who have vocally said that that’s what they see there. I’ve had people who have been just as vocal who said that’s not what they’re seeing there."

Doesn't somebody proof these things? What Art Director just got fired? Hahahaha....

Roseanne doesn't want you to forget the other side of the pedo question... is it just boys whom the Catholic priests have been molesting? She thinks not...

Oh the hypocrisy! One of Pope Benedict's ceremonial ushers and a member of an elite choir in St Peter's Basilica have been implicated in a gay prostitution ring, in the latest sexual scandal to taint the Vatican.

Egypt's president said on Sunday his security forces would quash Islamist groups threatening stability in Egypt and the region, highlighting worries about al Qaeda building up strength in places such as Yemen.

President Hosni Mubarak also defended building a barrier on the Gaza border, saying it would stop militants crossing. See the post we did here. The move has drawn criticism from inside Egypt and other Arabs who say Cairo is colluding with Israel to blockade the Palestinians.
