Heidi Montag, star of MTV's The Hills has recently come under fire for undergoing 10 plastic surgeries in one day. Pretty crazy for a 23 year old. Usually it is her crazy husband and wannabe celebrity, attention whore Spencer who does the outlandish, but not this time.
She was such a beautiful girl to begin with! The Hollywood machine is eating her up alive! I can only guess this is due to the pressures to look amazing and be the celebrity and paparazzi favorite she craves, but I think it's a case of no self esteem. I thought she looked younger before the Barbie transformation. Such a shame.
In lieu of the controversy, I founds this hilarious video spoof of her recent interview with Billy Bush of Access Hollywood.
A friend sent me a link to this... pretty amazing. This 6 minute, Pixar-style video took 5 years to make. Still, amazing that 1 guy did it!
A rookie secret agent is faced with a problem seldom covered in basic training: what to do when a curious pigeon gets trapped inside your multi-million dollar, government-issued nuclear briefcase.
As I sat at the reading table in my hotel room a favorite song played on my iPhone. Tracy Chapman has such a wonderful, rich voice and the lyrics usually hit home in one form or another - deep and always meaningful.
Listen and read the accompanying lyrics.
If you wait for me
Then I'll come for you
Although I've traveled far
I always hold a place for you in my heart
If you think of me
If you miss me once in awhile
Then I'll return to you
I'll return and fill that space in your heart
Remembering
Your touch
Your kiss
Your warm embrace
I'll find my way back to you
If you'll be waiting
If you dream of me
Like I dream of you
In a place that's warm and dark
In a place where I can feel the beating of your heart
Remembering
Your touch
Your kiss
Your warm embrace
I'll find my way back to you
If you'll be waiting
I've longed for you
And I have desired
To see your face your smile
To be with you wherever you are
Remembering
Your touch
Your kiss
Your warm embrace
I'll find my way back to you
Please say you'll be waiting
Together again
It would feel so good to be
In your arms
Where all my journeys end
If you can make a promise
If it's one that you can keep
I vow to come for you
If you wait for me
In just a one mile radius in a secluded town deep in Brazil, there are 80 families with blond, blue-eyed twins, a rate nearly 1,000% above the global average! Many believe that this phenomenon is the result of escaped Nazi scientist Joseph Mengele, who may have continued his experiments to build an Aryan master race in this town.
Known as the Angel of Death, Josef Mengele spent years doing medical experiments on Auschwitz inmates, primarily interested in twins. After the war he eventually escaped to South America and stayed in hiding until his death in 1979.
Pretty creepy and an amazing ad for Seiko watches! Read more here.
He always delivers amazing songs, and this one even comes complete with an incredible video, which is filled with magical imagination and fantasy enhanced with swirling color and escapism. Enjoy and happy holidays!
Elizabeth Lambert of the New Mexico soccer team let out all of her anger during a game against Brigham Young University, and with no apparent remorse or concern.
Watch the video below of her HIGHLY unsports-womanlike behavior including punches to the back, chops to the neck and a vicious ponytail pull to the ground! She should be fined, kicked off the team and made an example of... absolutely despicable.
I miss having the time to read my daily blogs like I used to, but came across this great series from one of my favorites: Chris Coyier, whose one site CSS-Tricks has helped me immensely.
In the series he takes you from the design process of making a webpage layout, to the slicing and coding process - where CSS makes the design come to life. Next he takes you through the process of integrating that code into a CMS (content management system) like WordPress. This way everything (posts, feeds, updates) are dynamic and site wide. I hope you subscribe to his RSS feed, check out his other blogs and enjoy the series.
I commented that I hoped there was a 4th in the series to show us the process in prepping and encoding the photo gallery, contact form, shopping cart and Twitter feed. We'll all have to check back in to see!
Part 1 starts from absolute scratch in Photoshop, with just a few provided resources from the client. We design the homepage and skin for the site.
Part 2 shows how to slice up the design from Photoshop into XHTML/CSS.
Part 3 shows how to convert it into a WordPress template.
