Spring is in the air!
Ahh, to be at a celebration of Holi! It is the festival of colors and the welcoming of Spring for many Hindus around the world.
I first came across this celebration years ago when 60 Minutes interviewed Goldie Hawn. She was over in India partaking in the festivities with her family. What I witnessed was color, laughter, smiles. No one seemed put out or angry, everyone was participating in a festival of fun, celebrating life. I wanted to be there, to throw the colored powders, to be sprayed and drenched, not only in color, but laughter and free expression!
I will go there one day and participate with my favorite traveling companion, Dave. How we will get pictures of each other will be another thing all together, but that's another story.
