Holy smokes!

57066One of my favorite ganja smoking pop stars, George Michael, who has made more headlines for bathroom shenanigans and being found asleep at the wheel lately than music, made the rounds from 2006 through 2008 on a farewell tour that made some serious cash. £48 million to be exact.

He was back on stage after a 15-year absence for his '25 Live' tour, which involved 50 concerts across Europe, North America and Canada.

Unfortunately for me I was not one of the lucky to see that tour. The seats were just far too expensive and I wish I had the money to see him as he has always been one of my top singer/songwriters.

The 'Faith' singer's latest account receipts show he earned £48,499,893 between April 2006 and March 2008. This figure doesn't even include income from his record sales or songwriting.

The 45-year-old star also earned millions from playing private shows for some of the world's wealthiest people. It's reported that on New Year's Eve 2006, George was paid £1.6 million to perform 13 songs at a party for Russian nickel magnate Vladimir Potanin and a few months later was given £1.5 million to sing at the 55th birthday party of Sir Philip Green, the owner of British fashion store Topshop.
