Judge Judy Raking in the Big Bucks
I can't believe it, but then again I don't watch daytime TV.
The daytime courtroom reality show, Judge Judy, has surpassed Oprah with an average 6.6 millions viewers a day. It's been the top-rated daytime show 24 out of the past 29 weeks, beating The Oprah Winfrey Show 13 out of the past 15.
And not only that, but Judge Judy Sheindlin is entering her 15th year in syndication with a $45-million-a-year contract. And that's for working only 52 days a year! She also has renewed her contract through 2013, making her Forbes' 72nd richest celebrity.
